Ariana Grande Beats Taylor Swift for First-Ever Grammy Award

However,as predicted, she did not attend to receive this award.

After the show’s producer Ken Ehrlich announced that Grande had pulled out of performing and attending the awards show because she “felt it was too late for her to pull something together,” Ariana took to social media to share her side of the story.

I can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken,” Grande wrote on her Twitter account. “It was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend.

I hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more“, she added. 

In addition to ‘Best Pop Vocal Album‘, Ariana Grande was also nominated for ‘Best Pop Vocal Performance‘ award (for “God is a woman”). Grande offered her thanks to fans in a series of tweets.

The 2019 Grammy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles (USA) this morning of February 11.
