According to the New York Times, the Atlanta police (USA) announced that rapper King Von and two others were shot dead outside of an Atlanta nightclub early Friday morning, November 6.
King Von, born Dayvon Bennett, was one of three men shot and killed outside of Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia, following an altercation in a parking lot, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The Chicago-born rapper arrived via a private vehicle at the hospital, where he died shortly after the shooting, and that the “investigation into this incident remains open and very active”, Police also said.
The US media reported that the police arrested two suspects and conducted an investigation. If convicted, they could face a heavy sentence.
DJ Akademiks sadly announced the death of his best friend on Twitter: “It hurts me to confirm King Von has passed away. I talked to manager King, who was lucky to have survived after being shot and is now recovering in the hospital“.
The last time King Von used social media was on November 5, when he posted his performances at the Opium bar. The news of the rapper’s death shocked his relatives and friends.
“Wow. This year was so tough. Rip Von God bless him and his family, I can’t believe it,” Chance The Rapper tweeted.

King Von was born in 1994 and famous for the hit “Crazy Story 2.0” featuring Lil Durk. The song used to hold the fourth place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This is considered to be his most popular single before his death.
